Can I install a GTN 650 and GNS 420W so they will work together and crosfill information. Also, do they work with the same database subscription?

In upcoming Garmin 5.02 software update it will allow the GNS 420W to crossfill to the GTN 650 (and only that direction) and yes it is a separate database subscription.

Does the Garmin GTN 650 come with the installation kit and tray?

The Garmin GTN 650 does come with installation kit and tray.

Can I simply just replace my GNS 430 with the GTN 650 by just pulling the GNS 430 out of the tray and sliding the GTN 650 in its place?

The GTN 650 is not a slide in replacement for the GNS 430 nor is the tray the same.

Is the Garmin GTN 650 or any of its components made in China?

No, to have a TSO you must manufacture all parts in the U.S.

Regarding the GARMIN GTN 650 GPS / NAV / COMM SYSTEM: What areas are covered by the Americas database vs. the International Database? If you choose the Americas, can you update to the International later?

The Americas database includes North and South America. The international version covers every continent. You can update the database at any time.

Will I be able to upgrade the GPS database on the Garmin GTN 650 to International after purchase? Currently the plan is to only use the plane in the United States but if I wished to take it overseas would that be available?

Yes, per Garmin, you can update the database at any time after purchase.

Does the GTN-650 include a standard glideslope receiver? Does it support a standard CDI which includes glideslope position and status? If using the GPS receiver for an LPV approach, does the GTN-650 output vertical position to a glideslope-equipped CDI?

The GTN series supports glideslope CDI indicators. Vertical indications are displayed on a compatible CDI.

Will the GTN 650 and GTX 345 installed together enable my 796 Garmin portable to receive traffic and weather?

Yes via the Bluetooth on the 796 and GTX 345.

Does the Garmin GTN-650 come with a Software Loader SD Card, to allow firmware updates and system configuration? If not, how is this obtained? What is the cost?

The GTN 650 includes a data card. Database information will have to be obtained from a Garmin installing dealer.

Is the external cooling fan shown in the Installation Manual (Table 3-13 and Figure E-2) included with the purchase of GTN-650?

Yes, a cooling fan is included with the unit.

I am unclear what the disclaimer note means about experimental aircraft. Will GTN-650 GPS interface with my STEC55 Autopilot and it is considered full WAAS with WAAS display on the glideslope indicator? Basically what does the disclaimer note mean...and how does this disclaimer make the GTN-650 GPS different from similar units like the 430W?

We can only sell this unit for installation in experimental aircraft. For certified installations, you will need to purchase the GTN 650 from the avionics install shop that will be doing the work on the aircraft.

Can you describe in detail what is included in the GTN 650 4 foot harness?

We wire the GPS, COM and NAV connectors.

Will this Garmin GTN 650 work with a Garmin G5?

Yes, it will work with a G5. You can refer to your G5 manual for proper installation and more information.

Can data input be input with a knob on the Garmin GTN 650 rather than touch for use in turbulent conditions?

NO, the knobs on the GTN 650 only control the Comm frequecies and Nav frequencies, the knob is not a cursor.

Is there Wi-Fi connectivity on the Garmin GTN 650 without purchase of Flight Stream?

No, to upload flight plans you must use a Flight stream unit.

Does the 650 include the data and terrain card?

Nav data and terrain are both included in the GTN 650 data card.

Does the GTN 650 include the data card or does it have to be bought separately?

This will include either the Americas or International data card.

Yes the unit will come with everything needed to make the install. You may update the unit as needed anytime.

Does the Garmin GTN 650 come with the antenna?

Yes, this comes with a GA 35 WAAS antenna.

Does the GTN 650 integrate with an S-TEC 50 autopilot?

Yes, Garmin says the GTN 650 will work with the S-TEC 50 autopilot.

Will the GTN 650 interface with the MX20?

Yes, these two units will interface.

Does the 650 require two GPS antennas to include the GS, like the 430 W?

The GTN 650 only requires one antenna for the GPS. if you would like GS capability, you will need an approved VOR/LOC/GS antenna.

What is included with the Garmin GTN 650 install kit?

This unit comes with the connector kit, backplate, tray, fan, configuration module, associated hardware.

Can this be integrated with a Stratus ESG? What if its the ESGi with ADS-B in? Will it show traffic and weather with the i portion?

The ESGi is for ADS-B IN, is designed to be paired with an iPad for the display. There is no reference in either manual for interface with the Garmin GTN.

Yes, you can interconnect the two for ADS-B functions.
