For use on flat spring landing gear, Cessna models 170, 172, 180, 182, 185 and 206. It is highly recommended to replace aluminum axles with these much stronger Steel or Titanium axles when operating on rough conditions, with larger wheels or on skis.

Regarding the CESSNA MAIN GEAR AXLE: What is the weight advantage of titanium over steel?

Titanium has a weight advantage in that it is lighter and still as durable as steel. The titanium axle will be about 1 lb lighter per gear axle.

What is the weight of the steel axle?

Approx 2.3 lbs.

Is this suitable for the pn 0441203-1?

The manufacturer part # for these axles is AF1441003-1.

Does the Cessna main gear axle come with a new nut?

It does not.
