What is the difference between 10/12 pitch and 12/14 pitch, and also the difference between 122 and 149 tooth ring gears? Maybe a better question is why would a person choose one (pitch or number of teeth on the ring gear) over the other.

A 122 tooth ring gear has 10/12 pitch, and a 149 tooth ring gear has 12/14 pitch. These engines can use both ring gears, so you must identify what is installed on your engine to select the correct starter.

What is the weight of the 149-12XLT starter?

Its just under 7 lbs.

What is the warranty on these starters? And whatever it may be, is it from time of purchase or time of installation if I want to have one on the shelf for customers?
