I'd like to install the Electronics Internation E4 in my Lake LA4-200 but the standard probe leads will be too short. is there an extended harness available for this application?

Yes, EI offers a 6' extension lead part number 10-02034.

Is this Electronics International E-4 EGT available in celcius?

This instrument can display in celsius but, will have to be special ordered.

Can the EI E4 replace a primary EGT gauge on certified aircraft, such as a 1965 Piper Cherokee?

While the EI E-4 EGT gauge is STC'd for the Piper PA28, it is only FAA Approved as a secondary instrument. It can be installed, but not as the primary.

Two questions- 1. Can the E4 be used as a primary instrument in a C-172N? 2. Is the E4 internally lighted?

While the EI E-4 EGT gauge is STC'd, it is only FAA approved as a secondary instrument. It can be installed , but not as the primary. The E4 does have back light.
