e Gulfstream IV is from a family of private jet aircraft produced by Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company based in Savannah, Georgia.

Gulfstream began work on the Gulfstream IV in 1983. It made its maiden flight on September 19, 1985. In June 1987 a Gulfstream IV set 22 world records in its class in flying west around the world in 45 hr 25 min. The next year another Gulfstream IV set 11 world records flying east around the world.
