I intend doing some open cockpit flying this winter. Hard to tell from the photo but... is the 711L Leather Flying Helmet held on with a velcro strap or buckle? Is the wool interior throughout the helmet or just a front lining?

This helmet is held on by a velcro strap that loops around once. There is quite a bit of velcro contact when is it secured. The wool interior is throughout the entire inside of the helmet.

Will a Bose X or Bose A20 fit?

Per the manufacturer, these cutouts are for David Clark headsets. They cannot confirm applicability with other headsets.
