Pilots can enjoy a no-compromise ADS-B In experience on the iPad by connecting a Stratus portable receiver through this interface kit. This connection provides continuous power to Stratus portables as well as access to the ADS-B and GPS antennas mounted in optimal locations outside of the aircraft. Thus, it eliminates the need to mount Stratus portable receivers in direct line of sight of ADS-B ground stations and GPS satellites.

How long are the cables provided with the kit?

The cables are 5' long.

Does this kit work with the Stratus 2?

No, it only allows the Stratus 2S & the Stratus 1S to be remote mounted.

What GPS and ADS-B antennas can be used with this Appareo Stratus interface kit?

Please see part #'s 11-15996 and 11-14672 for the respective compatible antennas.

Can this Appareo Stratus Interface kit be used in certified aircraft?

Yes, this can be used in certified aircraft.

I just purchased the Stratus ESG kit with 3i ADS-B receiver. Do I need this interface kit? From all my reading it's not clear which configurations need it and which do not.

Yes, you will need the interface kit.

Does this work with the 3S?

The 3 is the newest one. There is no S version of the 3 at this time. Part # 11-16213 will only work with the Stratus 2. Part # 11-14673 is made for 1s,2s, and 3

Will this work to provide power, ADS-B, and GPS to a Garmin GDL 50?

No, this is only for the stratus portable units in order to interface them to their respective transponder.
