These fine nylon cord tires with rib tread design are rigidly tested to meet FAA Standard TSO-C62. The Air Trac® is an excellent choice for single engine, piston aircraft. It is ideal for aircraft operated on grass strips while being perfectly usable on hard surfaces. This unique, narrow-ribbed, oval shaped tire is designed for soft field applications.

The 7.00/8.00-6 tube can be utilized in both 7.00-6 and 8.00-6 tires.

Is this for the tire and tube or just the tire? For instance, if I order 06-09600, do I order the tube separately or is it included?

The parts numbers in the list, including 06-09600, are the tires only. You would need to purchase the tube separately.

What is the tube that would go with the 6.00-6 4-ply tire, part number 06-08400?

Any of the following 600x6 tubes will work with this tire: 06-00754, 06-00021, 06-08700.

The web site regarding tires image shows a sawtooth serrated groove tire pattern for Air Trac. Can I assume the 15x6.00x6 tires (#06-08900) have a straight tire groove pattern like the Air Trac's I presently own?

Yes, the web photo is for reference and does not depict each tire listed on this page. The 15x600x6 tire will have the straight tire groove pattern.

My plane currently have Airtrac 5.00 x 4 4 ply tires...but I cant find it in your catalog. Can I use another size, and if yes do I need to change the tube as well?

The only 500-4 tire we have available is Goodyear part # 06-04700. It is GOODYEAR 500-4 6PLY RIB TIRE 504C61-2. You can keyword search 06-04700 to locate and purchase it.

How long is the life time of the tires? What is the correct storage process ?

Per Specialty Tires, there is no shelf life. If they are kept in a dark, dry, and cool place they should last for years. It basically breaks down to the mechanics discretion. If there are no cracks and the tires is still pliable then they are still ok to use.

What is the diameter of the 8.00-6 6ply tire?

Inflated Outside Diameter: 19.5".

Is this tire FAA TSOd? (6.00-6, 06-08500)

Per the label on the tire the TSO is the minimum standard. It is up to the installer to determine if this tire meets the minimum requirements for the aircraft.

I would like to have information on a tire size 600-6 4 ply, what is the overall size of this tire? Im looking for a 16 inch diameter tire that fits this size. My airplane is a Zenair 701.

It is 16" in diameter, 6" wide, and made for a 6" in diameter wheel.
