Does the Garmin Aera 760 have the ability to download the flight data to Garmins flight log similar to the 796 and earlier garmin GPSs?

The unit has a flight log section and a track log section. The flight log feature is not compatible with the logbook application on the computer, and therefore flight logs cant be removed from the device. However, track logs and user waypoints can be downloaded from the Aera 760 to the computer through the basecamp application.

Does the Garmin 760 communicate with the Garmin GPS 175?

Yes, per Garmin, the Aera 760 11-18255 will communicate with the GPS 175.

I have an Aviat Husky from the factory with a Garmin 796 mounted in the panel, will the Aera 760 fit in the 796 panel mount, or will Garmin make a panel mount for the 760 to replace my 796 panel mount?

No, the form factor is different. A new panel dock will need to be installed. We expect one to be released in the near future.

Is there a docking station that this Aera 760 will fit in?

Yes, see Part# 11-14477 in Accessories list.

Will this Garmin Aera 760 work with a Aera 660 yoke mount?

Yes, the 660 yoke mount (Part# 11-14478) works with the 760, but the cradle is not included. The cradle is included in the box with a new Aera 760.

Does the Garmin Aera 760 need an external GPS antenna to function most accurately?

No, the Aera 760 has an internal GPS antenna that should provide adequate signal.

I have a Searey with the Area 796 Dock installed is this a direct replacement? Will the Aera 760 fit in the same dock. If not is the new dock the same size to install in place of the 796 dock?

No, this will require a new dock. The form factor is not the same as the 796.

Is a Europe database available for the Garmin Aera 760?

Europe database units are expected to be released in May 2020.

How much for monthly updates on the Aera 760?

Does the Garmin Aera 760 need an external AHRS to function most accurately or have AHRS builtin?

It has a built in AHRS.

Will the Garmin 760 transfer a flight plan from ForeFlight to a 430w without using a fs210?

Per the Manufacturer: Part # 11-18255 will not transfer flight plan data from ForeFlight without using a Flight Stream 210.

Will the Garmin Aera 760 work with a GXM 42 SIRIUS XM Antenna?

No it will not. You will need to have a SIRIUS/XM receiver in-line somewhere. The antenna by itself is not enough to obtain/process the data from the SIRIUS/XM network. The same is true for the Aera 660, a GDL-51 or 52 device would need to be used to provide SIRIUS/XM data to the portable. The GXM-42 antenna is not compatible with the Aera 660 or 760 models.

Will the 760 work with a Garmin GDL-50?

Yes, this communicates with the GDL 50.

Does the Garmin Aera 760 have split screen mode like the 796?

No, split screen mode is not a current feature at launch.

Is there a bare wires cable for the Garmin Aera 760 GPS to hardwire into the aircraft?

Yes, see part # 11-18298.

Will Aera 760 connect to my Dynon D100 display in the same way that my Garmin 495 does? The 495 provides Horizontal and Vertical information to the Dynon, which then controls auto pilot servos.

The G5 AHARS will be used.

Can the Garmin 760 file a flight plan when it is communicating on Wi-Fi to the internet ? and if connected to the internet can it access 800weatherbrief?

No, this is not supported.

Will the Aera 760 share flight plans with the Garmin GNX375?

Yes, reference Page 203 of "Garmin aera 760 Pilot's Guide" - Appendix D regarding how to configure and wire the unit to interface and share flight plans with the GNX-375.

Can I download the Australian Aviation Maps for use in Australia to the Aera 760?

Yes, the database including Australia can be downloaded from the Garmin website after receiving the unit.

Can aera 760 download weather by WiFi in flight?

No, it is designed to receive weather data in flight from a GDL 50, GDL 51 or GDL 52 connected via Bluetooth or via the Connext system with another approved interfacing Garmin product.

What equipment do I need for the aera 760 to receive ADS-B IN?

Garmin recommends the GDL 50, Part# 11-16232, for ADS-B in with the Aera 760. You can also use the GDL 52 which provides both ADS-B IN and SiriusXM signal (subscription required for SiriusXM).

With GPS and GLONASS, will the GLONASS capability allow the Aera 760 to function normally when GPS interference testing is ongoing?

Per the manufacturer any interference would affect both GPS and GLONASS as the frequencies are very close to each other.

Will the 760 display internet weather when bluetoothed to my i phone 11 pro max?

No, it is designed to display ADS-B or SiriusXM weather data.

Will the 760 Bluetooth to the Stratus 3 ADSB in via Bluetooth for weather and traffic?

No, the Stratus is not compatible at this time.

Is the Aera 760 compatible with the Sentry which is made by Uavionix for Foreflight ?

No, the Aera 760 will not wirelessly connect to receive ADS-B (TIS-B or FIS-B) data and display that information from the Sentry device. If a customer would like access to this data I would recommend one of our GDL-50, 51 or 52 products that do support that interface with the Aera 760.

If the 760 is connected to a G5 or G3X will it display airspeed and altitude based on air data or is it only capable of displaying GPS based speed and altitude?

Per Garmin: When an external BARO source is provided it will use it, but when none is provided it reverts to GPS Altitude.

Is a Africa database available for the Garmin Aera 760?

The Africa database can be downloaded and add at fly.garmin.com post purchase.

We currently have a GPS Map496 that receives flight plan information from our GTN650 via a wire connection. Is there a similar set up for the 760?

Yes, the Aera 760 does have a bare wire cable connection available P/N 11-18298.

Will the Aera 760 load Jeppesen charts via the SD card?

Per the installation manual: There are two navigation database products available: the Garmin Navigation database containing coverage for North America (expanded coverage is planned for the future), and the Jeppesen Navigation database containing coverage for the world, available in regionalized options. Database purchases are available online (www.fly.garmin.com). However, once the databases are purchased, the ability to download and install databases is available from the aera 760 via Wi-Fi.

Do you have Aera 760 Pacific Database? Is it same as 660 that has a free one time update that can be downloaded the Pacific database?

Yes, the manufacturer provides a one-time download so that you may change the database to the necessary version.

Can the size of the aircraft icon be changed?

The pilot guide does not reference the ability to change the size of the icon.

Will the Aera 760 work with Stratus 3 ADSB?

Per GARMIN: No, the Stratus is not compatible at this time.

Will the 760 work with Stratux for ADSB?

No. That is not on the listed on the manual as a compatible unit. The Garmin GDL 50 series is recommended for use with the 760.

Is the Aera 760 capable to provide the required gps input for a Garmin G5 certified unit?

No, the aera 760 is not considered an approved WAAS GPS source for the Garmin G5.

Can the battery be field replaced on the Garmin Aera 760?

Per Garmin the Aera 760 has an internal battery and can not be replaced.

Which Garmin Aera 760 is for mexico? north america or south america?

The correct database for Mexico is North America.

Will the 760 transmit music by Bluetooth if connected to a GDL 51 or GDL 52?

Per the Pilot Guide Rev-b page 206: Yes, The Aera 760 can transmit audio by Bluetooth if connected to a GDL 51 or 52

Does the Aera 760 North America contain complete Canadian database and airport directory?

Yes, this will come with North American databases which includes Canada.

If Aera 760 is panel docked/mounted will it communicate with garmin pilot?

Yes, the Bluetooth is still operational while it is panel docked.

Is aera 760 available in Japan?

Yes, we can export this to Japan. After receiving the unit, you can download and install the Asia database to the unit from fly.garmin.com.

Does the Aera 760 GPS receive traffic and weather from the Stratus 3?

No, the Stratus is not compatible at this time. It can receive this data from the GDL 50, 51, or 52.

Is there a temp glass screen protector made for the area 760 or is there one that will fit that is used for another Garmin model?

Unfortunately we do not carry one that will fit this screen.

Will all functions, weather, traffic, 3D , syn. vision etc work from the garmins gdl 39 3D?

Yes, the Aera 760 will interface with the GDL 39 3D for these functions.

Will the Aera 760 communicate with the Garmin GDL 39? If so, how? RS-232, Bluetooth or both?

Yes, it will communicate and you can use either a wired connection or through bluetooth.
