I currently use an oil filter Tempest AA48110-2 but would prefer a taller version. Will the 48111 be what Im looking for?

The Tempest version of the Champion 48109-1 is AA48109, our part # 08-01269. For the Tempest 48110, the other option would be the Champion CH48110-1, our part # 08-00909.
