Hello. Is there a core price on this new unit?

Yes, even though this is new we still are required to include a core charge. The amount of the core will be automatically added as a line item when you add this unit to your shopping cart.

Does this Hartzell ALV-9610 alternator come with an FAA form 8130-3?

This alternator includes a domestic (USA) 8130 form with each shipment. Export 8130-3 must be requested at time of order. Please check with your local aviation authority as in many cases the domestic (USA) 8130 will be sufficient.

ALV9610. I am considering buying two from you but my cores would be a different Hartzell model. (Replacing my 50 amp alternators with your 100 amp alternators). Will you accept the 50 amp core? If so, what is the amount of the core charge? Thank you

The standard core charge is $425 as of 06/14/13. Some old Hartzell models are accepted as cores and others are not. We need to know the exact model number to get the core charge that will apply. Please call sales at 877-477-7823 and request they get the current core charge for your specific alternator.

What is the recommended service life of the Hartzell ALV-9610 alternator or manufacturer TBO?

Per our tech: warranty is 2 years ---- engine TBO.

Is there still a core charge on the ALV-9610 alternator? If so, what others will be accepted as cores?

No, part # 08-07442 is a new outright so there is no core charge or return associated with the purchase.

With purchase of the ALV-9610 part # 08-07442. Does this come with a new thrust washer?

No, this does not come with a washer. Please purchase part # 653981 separately.

What is the recommended voltage regulator for this alternator? Would a B&C LR3C-24 work okay? This is an experimental aircraft installation.

If experimental P/N# 07-01305 is recommended.
