The SunRay Plus is a wing-mounted LED (Light Emitting Diode) landing light with a built-in wig wag feature in addition to its standard operation as a landing/taxi light. The SunRay Plus is a very intense light source that uses 4 high power LED’s to produce up to 1,000+ lumens of light and 30,000 candela using 10 watts of power.

Each SunRay Plus light uses less than half the power of an equivalent 55 watt halogen light while producing more usable light in a more narrow beam. The LED light source last up to 50,000 hours of constant operation, so you will never have to replace this light once it has been installed. It will outlast both Halogen and HID lamps. The SunRay Plus is protected against overheating with a built in protection circuit, is protected from lightning transients and ESD, voltage spikes, reverse voltage, and undervoltage conditions.

Polycarbonate leading edge windows are commonly used with wing-mounted landing lights, and are typically available for most airplane types from a number of third-party suppliers. This light is small enough to fit in the wingtip cutout found in Van's RV kits.

Вопросы и ответы
Regarding the AeroLEDs Sunray: How many watts?

10W

There are two threaded holes on the front face of the AeroLEDs Sunray Plus Landing Light Non-TSO light assembly, presumably for mounting purposes. What thread has been tapped and to what depth?

The two holes in the front are 6-32 thread, and are 1/4" deep. There is also a 10-32 threaded port on a side surface. Installation and tech data information is listed in the Documents Tab on our web page.

How many AeroLED Sunray Plus landing lights come per order? One or two (pairs)?

These are priced and sold individually, one per order.

Aeroled landing light: Is it waterproof? Want to mount externally on gear leg.

This is not waterproof but it is water resistant. Meaning if it was sprayed with a hose it should be fine but it cannot be submerged in water.

Many LED lights produce RF noise which can be heard in radio. Is this unit free of RF nose?

Per Aeroleds: We do not know of an RF noise issue with this light. We do recommend using shielded wire if the wires are going to be run near radio wiring just in case.
