If manufacturing test reports are required, there is a minimum $15.00 charge per order. Please indicate in the special instructions box at the time of order that certs are required.

Rigid 5052-0 aluminum alloy tubing is used for low and medium pressure hydraulic systems, fuel lines and oil lines. This tubing will withstand a higher pressure than 3003-0 tubing.

I would like to use this 5052-O aluminum tubing for a brake line. I have to bend it to fit. Is this the correct tube for this application or should I use another tube?

5052-0 is commonly used for fuel, oil, and brake lines, but we recommend you consult with the aircraft OEM, or designer, to verify the material they recommend for this application.

Is this 5052-O tubing weldable?

Yes, this material can be gas, arc and resitance welded.

Can the 1/4 tubing be rolled for shipping?

Yes, its soft aluminum tube, and can be coiled. It is non returnable if coiled.

Is mentioned price is per foot or length mentioned against each 6 or 12 feet

The prices listed in the grid are per length. The -6 are priced per 6 foot piece, and the -12 are priced per 12 foot piece.

Can you bend 5052-0 in a tubing bender without anodizing?

Yes, 5052 is one of the best alloys for bending.

What is the maximum length to avoid additional shipping charges?

Over 4 ft will incur additional handling charges. Lengths over 8 ft become more economical to go via LTL Truck.

Yes, please check the box in the shopping cart for metal certs. A $15 cert fee will be added per line item of metal to furnish the certs.
