NOT FOR STRUT USE

GENTEC® Nitrogen aircraft tire inflation systems allow for easy, cost effective filling of General Aviation aircraft tires with pure Nitrogen.

Due to the complex nature of construction and the severe operating conditions of aircraft tires, Michelin and other leading tire manufacturers recommend the use of Nitrogen as does the FAA.

Nitrogen is a totally inert gas that will not support corrosion or oxidation within aircraft wheels and tires.

Compressed Nitrogen has a larger gas molecule than compressed air, so low tire pressure due to allowable leakage is minimized. Gentec Nitrogen aircraft tire inflation systems are available in two versions.

The GKNAT20-TC: 12-01586 is a 20 cubic foot high pressure nitrogen tank (empty) with stand, ten foot hose; pressure reducing single stage regulator and tire inflator with resetable dial pressure gauge.

The GKNAT40-TC 12-01587 is a 40 cubic foot high pressure nitrogen tank (empty) with stand, ten foot hose; pressure reducing single stage regulator and tire inflator with resetable dial pressure gauge.

Вопросы и ответы
Does this set up have both an input and output regulator and what are the max PSI rating of the regulators?

Regarding part number 12-01587. Yes, it does have both input and output. PSI depends on the hose, max is 350-400.

About Part # 12-01587 1) What is the pressure to which the tank is normally filled? The catalog page says high pressure but that's pretty vague. 2) What is the maximum output of the secondary regulator? I need to go to about 100 psi.

The tank is normally filled between 2,000 psi - 2,500 psi. The secondary regulator is actually a tire gauge. The gauge will only read up to 175psi.

How do you refill the nitrogen tank?

Per the supplier: You need to take the tank to a gas distributor and they will fill it for you or exchange a full tank for your empty tank.

What are the dimensions of each size of bottle? 40cu and 20cu

The dimensions for Part # 12-01586, the 20cu, are 18"H X 5" W.
Part # 12-01587, the 40cu, dimensions are 21"H X 8"W.

What sort of stand comes with the 40cu tank? One on wheels? Carrying stand?

This comes with a black carrying stand that has a handle. It is not on wheels.

What is in the accessory kit?

Contents of the Accessory Kit (12-01588): Pressure Regulator, Tire fill with reset-able pressure gauge, Six (6') high pressure hose.

How high does the tire fill pressure gauge go?

Per the supplier, the max working pressure is 160 psi.

If the gauges and hose are in the accessory kit, what are the components of the system, part # 12-01586? Seems like just the tank.

Here are the contents of the part # 12-01586: blow gun hose 6', tire inflation gauge, whip end hose 12", single stage regulator, cylinder nitrogen 20 Cu Ft, CYL for 20 Cu Ft nitrogen tank, manual.

I need to be able to top off the pressure on the tires of a Cessna Citation Ultra every couple of weeks. The max tire pressure is 135 PSI. Will this system fill the tires on a jet up to 135 psi?

Yes, this will fill up the tires to 135psi with no problem. The max pressure this can fill up to is 350psi to 400psi.

What do I need to buy to have a complete setup to fill the tires on my citation V? Do I need to buy the accessory kit as well? I was looking at the 12-01587 P/N.

You will only need to fill the tank up with nitrogen as this will already come with the fitting to connect to your tires.

Does this item come filled with nitrogen? Or when shipped is the bottle empty and you have to fill it before first use?

The bottle will be empty. The end user will need to get the bottle filled before use.

How much does the 20 cu complete system weigh? 40 cu?

Part # 12-01586 weighs 27lbs and Part # 12-01587 weighs 45lbs.

Can this be connected to the BOGERT AVIATION 15X STRUT SERVICE TOOL?

This is for tire inflation only, not for strut service.

Can this system be used for automobile tire filling? Do aircraft tires have the same valve stem as an automobile i.e. Different size?

Yes, the filler valve stem is the same size.

What does the Kit 12-588 include? Can the regulator be purchased separate?

PRESSURE REGULATOR,TIRE FILL WITH RESETTABLE PRESSURE GAUGE,SIX (6') HIGH PRESSURE HOSE are included. The regulator is available separate, contact sales for price and delivery.
