These lightweight aircraft magnetos are being used by many new equipment manufacturers. Weigh only 3-3/4 lbs. compared to 6-1/4 lbs. for typical old style magnetos.

In early 1988, Slick discontinued the sale of re-manufactured magnetos to offer new units only.

All units carry a six-month warranty after delivery to the user. These model magnetos are completely rebuild-able. The old 4000/4100/4200 series magnetos and the 600 series magnetos may not be returned as an exchange unit for a new magneto of the same model. Only 4300 series Slick Magnetos may be returned for core credit.

Drive gears are not included. Gaskets are not included.

4300 series is a direct replacement for previous 4200 series Magnetos.

Yes, the unit does come with an impulse coupling.

Is the coil replaced on the Kelly Overhauled 4300 series Slick mags?

Yes, they are replaced.

How does the core exchange process work? Can I buy the mag and have it shipped first and than send the core for a rebate later?

Yes, that is exactly how it works. You buy the mag first and pay the upfront core charge. We ship the mag same day if it is in stock, if it is not in stock we ship it as soon as possible. Then once you send back an acceptable core we refund the core charge.

Is the 4200 model OK for a core?

Per the vendor: No, only 4300 series Slick mags will be accepted as cores.

Does the 4373R magneto come with a impulse coupling installed?

The Slick 4373 is an impulse coupled unit, and will come with the impulse coupling.

What is the warranty of these magnetos (08-13713 4370,3 Kelly OH Slick Mags) the warranty is decided per hours or time?

|Kelly Aerospace Energy Systems shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of ONE YEAR ON ALL NEW COMPONENTS and SIX MONTHS ON ALL OVERHAULED COMPONENTS. The warranty period begins (unless otherwise noted) from the date of installation into the aircraft.

Yes, the unit does come with an impulse coupling.

Yes, Champion / Slick magnetos are accepted as cores.
