Does this housing come with the face plate?

There is no faceplate, it is the housing only.

Is it made out of plastic? Is there a hole in the back? It looks like there is a hole in the back. My housing does not have a hole in the back. Thanks

Yes, it is plastic. There is a small hole on the back for securing the compass.
