Does this WESTACH TACHOMETER 3-1/8 INCH WITH HOURMETER KIT use the magnetos or does it read from the tach output from the engine drive ie where the mechanical cable used to attach?

The included sender attaches to the 7/8-18 SAE drive located on the end of the cam, blower, or tach drive.
