After a long development process, here's a completely new family of Fuel Valves. Hi-Tech Seals give easy operation and are suitable for all current fuels. The simplicity promises a long reliable life.

The SPRL-V1 is a three/four way fuel selector offering left-off-right and both if required. There are 90 degrees between selections and the absence of a lower fitting reduces the depth required.

These English fuel valves have some great features that make them better than the rest. Ceramic disks have no soft moving/rubbing seals to wear out, unlike other valves but also give an 'indefinite' life with a very smooth light action. The lift and turn selector is instinctive, secure, and easier to use than the complex 'lift button' type. The locking detents avoid accidental movements. The fixings match most installations, and the internal ports prevent cross feeds, unless 'selected to 'Both'. Male AN fittings enable you to plumb straight into the aeroplane system with no extra fittings to buy. The lightweight alloy construction is anodized for protection; the Viton 0 ring seals are suitable for all current fuels. For experimental aircraft only. Fittings must be purchased separately.

Please note that the accessories listed below are the the only compatible accessories; other standard accessories will not fit these valves.

FAR 23
The SPRL Valves, as designed, have a very nice 'feel' and are logical in use, however, there is a requirement in FAR 23 whereby the fuel valve must be turned from OFF to an ON selection simply by turning it, i.e. it should not have to be lifted up, pushed down etc, and it should also not be possible to turn it from an ON position to OFF without a dent. See V1/V3/V4 valves with a 'conforming' selector.

Вопросы и ответы
I want to be confirmed if this NEWTON SPRL VI-4P WAY FUEL VALVE has 4 positions. One closed-all tanks(off), one left tank open (only), one position both (left and right tank simultaneously open) and one position right tank open. Is this correct?

Yes, this is the correct description of the 4-way valve, part # 05-04451. Off, Left Only, Right Only, and Both.

Does the SPRL fuel valve, (05-04451), come with fittings or do they have to be bought separately?

These are shipped with the valve only. It does not include any fittings in the package. You will need to purchase fittings separately, 05-04452 (NEWTON SPRL FITTING AN6 MALE) and 05-04453 (NEWTON SPRL FITTING AN8 MALE).

What are the dimensions of the v1-3p valve, width and depth?

Width of top is 2.75" (widest part), Depth is 2.4".

Can you explain the difference between the New SPRL V1-4P and V1-4P-C?

The difference between the two is a conforming selector will have an indentation when you turn the knob and a non-conforming selector will not have an indentation but instead you will have to lift the top selector to turn it to a different selection.

Need to verify the sequence of valve, on a floor mount, left is left, forward is both-to engine, right is right tank then twd Back is off away from engine? Pictures look like off is forward.

This does not have a both position. The SPRL V1-4P will have a both position.

To clarify the SPRL V1-4P-C part number 05-11465 is a right, left and both valve the has a click stop at each position? And no special lifting needs to be done to move to a new position?

That is correct, this will have a conforming selector that you will feel when you change positions. No special fitting is required to change its position.

Can the -3P valves be moved from left to/from right positions without going through the off position?

Yes, the valve can be moved fronm left to right without going through off.

On the SPRL V1-3P when the pointer is at the 12-oclock position between L and R, what is the behavior of the fuel flow?

In the 12 o'clock position, feed would come from both tanks L & R.
