Dynon's EFIS-D10A is the most popular Electronic Flight Information System on the market today. This instrument fits into a standard 3-1/8" panel hole, making it an ideal candidate for replacing vacuum and electric attitude indicators.

This innovative design consolidates all your flight instruments into a sunlight-readable, 4” diagonal, color LCD. Key safety features include Dynon's optional Angle-of Attack/ Pitot design that alerts pilots of potential stall conditions and an optional Li-ion backup battery which will keep the instrument running for 2 hours in the event of a power bus failure.

What are the outside dimensions of the Dynon EFIS-D10A height and width?

The outside dimensions are 4.09" x 3.39".

What is the power draw (amps /m-amps) and voltage requirement (12v /14v/ etc.) of the Dynon EFIS-D10A?

2 amps @ 12 volts.

Does the Dynon EFIS-D10A EFIS kit have HSI features under the STC?

No, HSI is not covered under the STC.

Does the Dynon EFIS-D10A EAA STC kit include the STC?

The STC for this is actually owned by the EAA. After purchase, you can obtain it for an additional fee from the EAA directly.

Does the Dynon EFIS-D10A EAA STC kit include the installation wire harness? or does it have to be purchased separately?

This kit does not supply any connectors or wiring. All must be purchased separately.

Is this Dynon EFIS-D10A STC kit approved for certified aircraft installation in a 182?

Yes, this can be legally installed in a 182 covered by the STC.

How much is the STC from the EAA?

At this time, the STC is available to EAA members for $100 USD (Price subject to change).

Does this Dynon EFIS-D10A unit get its attitude and heading references internally with some kind of gyro or does it rely on GPS signals? And, does it have connections to take inputs from pitot/static system for airspeed and altitude display or does it need other data from an air data computer of some kind?

There are no moving parts or a conventional gyro in the EFIS-D10A. The attitude-sensing platform uses modern MEMS rate sensors and accelerometers.

There is also inputs for pitot/static fittings.

Does the EFIS-D10A unit display track or actual heading?

The D10A will show your actual heading.

What aircraft does the STC cover? I have a customer that is looking at the G5 and the Dynon D10A? He wants a new ADI for a Citabria 7GCAA

At this time, the STC does not cover the Citabria 7GCAA. Please refer to the AML list for all the aircraft currently covered under the STC.

Is this Dynon EFIS-D10A instrument approved for replacement of the basic legacy instruments in my Cessna 182 for IFR flight including DG or do the legacy steam gauges need to stay?

This is STC'd as a primary attitude indicator if your aircraft is on the AML.

You will need to keep all other gauges, as the unit is not STC'd to function as any other primary gauge, besides attitude.

Does the price of Dynon EFIS-D10A EAA STC Kit include the authorization to install or do we have purchase it separately? Our Civil Aviation Authority here requires the authorization. As per the Authority, if not mentioned in the STC, authorization to install is required. This will be installed in Cessna 172M.

The STC permission must be purchased separately through the EAA website. It is not included in the price for the unit.
