Can the Flightcom IISX intercom be mounted in/on the instrument panel?

No, it is a portable intercom and is not designed to be mounted in/on the instrument panel.

Can this be connected to a PC, used with Flight Simulation software, so both Pilot and Co-Pilot can hear and communicate with Pilot Edge?

No this will not as your computer does not have .25 and .206 jack input like an aircraft would. You can you Aircraft Spruce P/N 13-04178 but this is only for one headset.

Can both pilots hear themselves if the intercom is on and powered but not plugged into the aircraft?

Yes, both pilot and co-pilot can have a conversation while power is on and not pluged into the aircraft jacks.

If we connect an iPod to the Flightcom IISX, does ATC hear the music when pressing the push-to-talk?

If a music device is connected to the IISX per the manual on page 4 "radio, intercom, and music signals will be mixed" (volume control for music is controlled via the music device).

Is music input (and headphone output) for the Flightcom IISX 2 place portable intercom stereo or mono?

Per the manual, the Flightcom IISX 2 place portable intercom can only output mono regardless if the source is stereo or mono. If you have a stereo headset, you would also have to set it to mono when plugged in. In this setting though, you can hear music in both ears.

Will this work with an Icom handheld?

The Flightcom IISX 2-Place intercom will work with an Icom handheld provided that the appropriate ICOM adapter is interfaced with the intercom.

Can one use a extension cable between a headset and the Flightcom IISX 2-place portable intercom?

Using an extension cable such as PN: 11-06520 will work fine between the Flightcom IISX 2-place portable intercom and a your headset.

I have a sigtronics S-20 and an Icom IC-A22 handheld. Will the flightcom intercom work? If so what adapter do I need? Larry

Yes, it will work. You will need the headset adapter cable OPC-499 which is our part number 11-18537.

Will this intercom work with the YAESU handheld FTA-230?

Yes, you will need part number 11-02562 to adapt the FTA-230 to the flightcom IISX intercom (11-08700). If you would like a PTT switch add part number 11-12100.

Can you connect it to a GO-PRO video camera so you can record all audio on it?

With use of cable 11-11565 you can connect your Go-Pro inline with your headset. This will record all audio to your Go-Pro device. You can use this configuration with any intercom or com unit.

Will this work with an Icom A14 hand held radio, and if so what cables do I need?

Yes, you will need the headset adapter for the A14 part number 11-18537.

How long is the cable from the unit to aircraft jacks?

Approximately 55.5 inches.

Do I need a adapter to hook my Comtronics helmet mic to this Flightcom IISX 2-place intercom?

Yes, you will need part # 11-03572 to hook your single Comtronics helmet plug to the intercom's dual GA inputs.

Does this intercom have a pilot/co-pilot isolation switch so that you can turn off hearing your co-pilot while listening to ATC? (My old intercom has this feature)

Yes, this unit has a pilot isolate switch.

Can a cell phone be plugged into the intercom?

You can plug a cell phone into the aux outlet to listen, but there will not be any speaking capability through this intercom.

What cord is needed to connect a PTT for the copilot?

Please see the economy PTT under part # 11-12100.

Will this work with a Yaesu FTA 750L and a pair of David Clark H10-30? If so, is any adapter needed?

Yes, these units will work together. You will need the Yaesu headset adapter, Part# 11-12839.
