Will I need to buy any additional EGT or CHT probes for this? Is this a primary EGT/CHT replacement?

Part number 10-02924 is the 4 cylinder version and comes with 4 EGT and 4 CHT and 10-02927 is the 6 cylinder version and comes with 6 EGT and 6 CHT. No, this is not a primary EGT/CHT replacement and you must keep your original equipment.

How does the unit provide TIT, OAT and oil temperature? These are available options. Also, for multi engine installations are two units required or only one?

We have added the installation manual to the web page under the "Documents" tab. This will help with determining how to install the various options. It is one instrument per engine. A twin would need two instruments.

What are the dimensions of the JPI Digital EGT/CHT Scanner?

A complete diagram is provided on Pg 9 of the installation manual located in the documents tab.

Can the JPI Digitial EGT / CHT scanner be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius?

No, this unit can only display Fahrenheit.

Regarding JPI DIGITAL EGT/CHT SCANNERS: It is not clear from the manual how the gauge reading switches between reading CHT and EGT. Is it part of the rotation? And how do you know when it is reading EGT or CHT?

The CYL digit is the cylinder number of the temperature currently displayed. In the EGT/CHT display a 4 digit value is an EGT and a 3 digit value with small leading c is a CHT.

Regarding part #10-02924, the manual says that the equipment comes with bayonet OR gasket-type CHT probes. What is correct? Does this scanner come with gasket or bayonet-type CHT probes? If gasket, what size: 14 or 18 mm? Thanks.

The ones we have listed are bayonet style probes. The probes are 3/8" with 24 threads.

Where do I find replacement EGT probes?

JPI EGT probes can be found under our part # 10-00830.

What diameter hole does this JPI digital EGT/CHT Scanner fit?

This is a 2 inch round instrument with a square bezel that is 3-1/4 inch from corner to corner.

Which kind of gasket style cht probes can be used with unit?

Per the manual, you can use 10-03689.
