All pilots know that running their engines at peak performance means maximum efficiency! Max. efficiency means substantial savings in fuel burned and engine maintenance. EDM 700 assures pilots of Peak Precision Engine Performance Simply and Economically.

EDM700 includes: Computer assisted diagnostics for troubleshooting the entire system, 2-1/4" panel mount, normalize mode, graphics resolution, automatically finds the first EGT to peak, display of Oil,OAT, IAT, CDT, volts, shock cooling of 2 TIT's, 1º temp. resolution, selectable ºC/ºF,all functions have Hi/Lo pilot programmable limits, supplied with JPI's well known, grounded, fast response probes,TSO quality, FAA TSO/STC approved, 3-yr warranty. All EGT probes, cht probes, harness, and hardware included. All EDM-700 systems come with data recording and provide long term trend monitoring to maintain ultimate engine health. Data Recording capability will records and stores all displayed parameters and, at a later time, transfer the info to a palmtop or laptop PC. Retrieve all the data stored in the EDM-700 or only the new data recorded since your last retrieval. In either case, no data is erased in the EDM unit.The data will be saved to a PC in a compressed format file. PC program supplied with the Data Recording Option will decompress the data for display and use by other programs, such as MS Excel or Lotus 123.

EDM-700 Data Recording contains a date and time clock. You may also program an aircraft ID, such as your aircraft registration number or your name that will appear in the output data file.

On the EDM 700 or 800 can data be downloaded to a Mac or just a PC? How about to a storage device?

You will need to order the USB option for the EDM 700 or 800 first for this to work with a USB storage device but at this time PC only for interface.

Can options be added at any time or only at purchase? Can they be added in the field or does the indicator have to be sent back to JPI to add options?

Yes, JPI engine options can be added at any time after the EDM 700 is installed (not needed to be sent back to JPI).

Are there 6 EGT and 6 CHT probes in the default package of EDM-700-6C w/o ff (p/n10-02012) or I should order them additionally?

Part Number 10-02012 does include 6 EGT and 6 CHT probes.

Is the EI fuel flow transducer of FT60 (10-01196 EI FT 60 FUEL FLOW TRANSDUCER FOR < 350HP / FUEL PUMP) compatible with the EDM-700?

Because the EDM requires a special plug for the transducer, we do not recommend using the FT60 on an EDM 700.

What is the format of the USB Memory Stick? and what is the File Format -CSV or exl or PDF once it is loaded onto the computer? Reference:- Data recording - 100 hrs Download USB 1 GB Memory Stick

The file is saved as a FAT 32 4GB memory stick. It can be saved as a CSV file after loading to the computer.

For both EDM-700 & EDM-730: The PC Software: is it Windows 10 compatible?

Yes, the EDM software is compatible with Windows 10.

I want the Oil Pressure option, but cant find it. How do I add it to my order?

When you add the main EDM 700 system to the cart, you will see an options window pop up and you can check the oil pressure option. The oil pressure option is part number 10-04183 and can also be added to your cart separately on the "Order By Part #" page.

Does the JPI EDM 700 monitor OAT and Carb Temp?

Yes, however the probes are not included. Please see the accessories and options tab for more information.

Can you get percentage of horse power on the JPI 700?

It does not come standard with the unit. You have to have man, oat, rpm, and ff to get percentage of horsepower.

Regarding the JPI EDM 700: Is there a display option for a tandem seat aircraft?

Per JPI the EDM 700 does not come with a tandem option, however the EDM 930 does have a two screen option.

Can oem gauges be removed by installing the JPI EDM 700? certified or primary gauge operation?

This unit is only a secondary gauge. To remove your OEM gauges, you would need an approved primary replacement as well as somebody qualified to perform the removal (a&p, ia, etc.)

Which CHT probes are included In The Box for the EDM 700 unit?

The 5050 CHT probes are included in the EDM-700 unit.

What is the difference in bayonet and adapter and all CHT bayonet?

The option with adapter allows you to keep your original CHT sender and gauge, as this is not a primary replacement.

Can an external air temperature probe added?

Per the manual: Yes, the EDM 700 can have an OAT probe added. Please view part # 10-27095.

Will the JPI EDM 700 work in a 24v 172?

Yes, this unit is FAA Approved for use in certified aircraft.

How can I get the manifold pressure and RPM sensors? I bought a used EDM 700, and the sensors didnt come with the unit.

You can order p/n: 10-01720 for the RPM option. Per the manufacturer, this does not have a MAP option.

Can I use this JPI EDM 700 to replace my Cessna 175 tachometer?

This unit is only considered as a |secondary replacement and requires the original gauges to stay in place.

Can the EDM 700 be ordered with M-113 18mm CHT probes in lieu of the screw in types?
