The EDM-730/830 revolutionizes engine monitoring by the integration of brilliant full color graphical LCD display with the extremely popular EDM 700/800 series functionally and yet reduces the package size to the smallest on the market! The EDM-730 packs more features, functionality, and information onto its large full color screen than any other monitor available and features larger characters for easier reading. Oil pressure has also been added to the entire EDM series line. Mounting is a breeze due to its standard 3-4/8" format, and because it can be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation, thus accommodating virtually any panel configuration. Depth behind the panel is an amazing 2-1/2". The unit is "Plug and Play" compatible with existing EDM-700/800 units.

Bayonet & Adapter: This option includes 3 bayonet probes and 1 adapter allowing existing CHT probe to gauge to receive data so both the existing CHT gauge and the EDM 730 can display the CHT info at the same time.

What are the unit's dimensions for the JPI EDM 730/830?

The JPI EDM 730/830 is 3.1"W x 4.2"H x 3.0"D without connectors and wire. Also note that this gauge (3-1/8” mounting hole) can be mounted up, down, right and left. For more information please see our videos tab.

What accessories are required for fuel flow, Garmin 530W integration, RPM and MAP.

The JPI EDM 830 comes with this in the box or you can order the options for fuel flow, RPM and MAP found on the accessories tab.

Are there any differences between 730 and 830 cores? Can I initially buy the 730 and afterward add other sensors to get ability of 830?

You can purchase a JPI 730 first and later add any/all the engine features of the JPI 830.

I am from Brazil, is the JPI Instrument EDM 730 certified from the FAA to be installed at PA28A?

Yes, the JPI EDM 730 and 830 are FAA certified (TSO'd) engine monitors. Please note they are secondary monitors (meaning you will have to keep your existing engine gauges and probes).

Are all CHT and EGT probes, fuel flow and complete wiring harnesses included in the EDM-730 box?

Yes, based on which version you select (4 or 6 cylinders) you will get that many probes for EGT and CHT. You will also get fuel flow if you select the option.

Can I add %HP to the EDM730?

Percent horsepower is one of the options included with the EDM730.

Plan to install in a Cessna 172I with O-360-A1A with single probe EGT/CHT instruments installed. How do the single primary instrument probes and the 4 EGT/CHT 730 probes mount so that they all maintain their function.

JPI recommends using CHT sender part number 10-03689 to be used in conjunction with your existing senders. You can mount EGT probes next to existing probes with no problems.

What is the format of the USB Memory Stick? and what is the File Format -CSV or exl or PDF once it is loaded onto the computer? Reference:- Data recording - 100 hrs Download USB 1 GB Memory Stick

The file is saved as a FAT 32 4GB memory stick. It can be saved as a CSV file after loading to the computer.

I had a JPI 700 installed in my Socata TB200. I has been installed right from the beginning 1995. Now it does not work any more (blank). Can I replace it with a new EDM 700 or 730 or do I need new cables/connectors?

Per JPI. We can replace your display if it is bad. Yes, you can upgrade to an EDM-730 without needing to re-do wires and connectors. The upgrade is plug and play.

I have a FS450 fuel flow installed. Can I simply connect the transducer to a 730 or do I have to buy that option?

The fs450 transducer will work with the 730. If placing an order for a 730, select the fuel flow option without transducer.

Will the JPI EDM-730 work with the Rotax 912 factory oil temp and pressure sensors?

Yes, per JPI, this will work fine.

Is is possible to swap all six bayonet-style CHT probes included in the EDM 730 package for six M113 spark plug gasket probes? I have an engine setup that makes installing the bayonet-style probes prohibitive.

Yes this is possible you just need to specify which probes are needed at the time of the order so that we can special order this from the manufacturer.

Is the J.P. Instruments 730 approved as a primary display of manifold pressure with that option?

This unit is only approved as a secondary display.

Does The 740 basic includes oil temp and oil pressure? Or just oil pressure?

No, the EDM 740 does not include oil pressure and oil temp out of the box. They are add on options.

Will my FS450 interface with the EDM-730?

While you can use the same transducer for the EDM-730 as the FS450, the units cannot be interconnected.

Does the EDM 730 with fuel flow option for fuel pump item include the FFDM-1 or FFDM-2 option for aircraft with a fuel return line?

Per the manufacturer: When ordering the EDM 730 with fuel flow, upon request it will include a harness and therefore the Module is not needed.

Can the 4-cylinder version be used with a 6-cylinder engine by just purchasing additional probes and wires? Or is there a difference in hardware and/or software?

There is a difference in the amount of probes but the unit itself and software are the same.

I would like to ad the option, Carb temperature to my EDM 730. I need a carb temp kit. Please tell me the cost of the kit please

Use PART# 10-27103 for the EDm 730 carb temp option.

My IO-470-N has a tannis preheater. Which CHT probes are appropriate for the 730 ?

JPI offers gasket type and bayonet type probes. You will need to verify what your engine requires.
