The PMA450B is the next step in connectivity, with more Bluetooth capability than any other audio panel available today. When coupled with PS Engineering's innovative approach to audio control, this user friendly PMA450B gives more of what the pilot wants from their audio panel, the central nervous system of their avionics suite.
This 3rd generation PMA450 has two completely independent Bluetooth modules, giving unprecedented connectivity capabilities. The PMA450B has the ability to work like no other panel available. Stream to a digital video camera, hear Foreflight alerts, make a phone call to ATC for your IFR clearance, you might even listen to your favorite tunes once in a while.
PMA450B also adds flightmate. This integrated audio alert system gives the pilot the ability to hear alerts related to aircraft conditions.
IntelliAudio gives the pilot the capability to pay attention to the radio that is important to their flight at any one instant in time. Consider Com 1 coming from the 10 oclock position while Com 2 is coming from the 2 oclock position, just like being at a cocktail party, you are able to pay attention to the person who is telling you something important while ignoring the other conversations that arent.
The 3 Soft-key user interface is unprecedented for audio control panels. With more and more capability provided by our audio panels, it was designed to allow easy access to the full capabilities of the unit.
This audio panel is plug n play with Garmins GMA340, which makes upgrading as easy as 1-2-3. The existing wire harness and tray that is installed for the GMA340 is complete and there is nothing to add or change. Get all of the new capabilities by simply removing and replacing. A simple log book entry is all that is required. NOTE, additional wiring is required to enable flightmate, capability when upgrading from either GARMIN GMA340 or PMA8000 series audio panels)

Flightmate
- The PMA450B comes standard with flightmate. This internal digital recording system allows the pilot to create custom audio alerts, create checklists, and acts as a continues loop recorder for primary radio receptions.
- With four discrete inputs, devices such as Sonalerts, engine instruments, or other devices that provide a discrete output when a preset condition has occurred, the pilot will hear in their own words the exact nature of the condition.
- These types of alerts can save precious seconds when an anomaly occurs and with spoken words rather than hearing a tones or buzzers. This assists the pilot to quickly interpret and identify what event actually happened.
- The second function of flightmate is that it can provide up to 2 1/2 minutes of "Scratch Pad" recording memory. An example on how this digital recorder can be used is that it can act as an aural checklist. Emergency or other checklist items can be recorded and stored in non-volatile memory. The pilot can created as many individual messages necessary, the only limit is the 2 1/2 minutes of recording time.
- The third function is the continuous loop recorder. flightmate will act as a continuous loop recorder that stores all radio traffic on the primary com. This is very useful when you might not have fully heard the last set of instructions. Instead of asking "can you please say again", you can just press PLAY and the last recorded message will start to play immediately. Up to 8 messages can be recorded.
