Many pilots are equipping with ADS-B and Trig provides solutions for both certified and uncertified aircraft owners. Trig’s 2020 ADS-B Bundle, for light-sport, experimental and home builders. Trig’s ADS-B kit contains all the certified components needed to allow flight in 2020 rule ADS-B airspace for these aircraft types.

The ADS-B Bundle features; Trig’s highly popular TT22 compact transponder, the latest TN72 X GPS Position Source (certified to TSO-C199) and the matching TA70 GPS antenna. This provides a fully compatible ADS-B Out solution that meets the requirements of FAR 91.227 for light-sport and experimental aircraft. Customers will save by purchasing the bundle over the regular price.

All Trig products are supported by a two year warranty (from date of installation) and U.S. based technical support.

Does this Trig 2020 ADSB kit come with all the required cables and connectors?

Per Vendor: The kit includes: 1ea. TN72, 1ea. TA70 and 1ea. TT22. All three of these items are complete with install kits.

Does this Trig 2020 ADSB bundle require an altitude encoder, like a ACK or Trans-Cal?

The TT22 has a build in encoder.

Do I need to purchase a transponder antenna and cable for this Trig 2020 ADS-B kit?

No. You will need to purchase a coax cable and a transponder antenna separately with this bundle.

I just want to clarify that this kit does not comply with ADSB regs for certificated aircraft. Is that correct? You would need a different GPS direction source to comply? Is there a complete kit for certificated aircraft?

Correct, this system is for experimental aircraft. for certified version please view p/n: 11-14872.

Does this Trig 2020 ADS-B bundle provide wifi connection to Ipads to provide data for EFB programs?

No, this bundle is only for ads-b out. You will need a portable ads-b in solution, such as the Stratus 3.

Does the Trig GPS antenna provide a compatible GPS signal for the Garmin AERA 560? If yes, can the Trig GPS antenna provide that signal to both the TN72 GPS and the AERA 560 simultaneously?

No the Trig GPS antenna is not a compatible external GPS antenna for the Aera 560. Only the Garmin GA25 or GA27 antennas are recommended by Garmin for the Aera 560.

Does the Trig T22 ADSB bundle come with 4 ft wiring harness?

No, it does not.

Do you have to buy and install an airspeed switch to be legal with this Trig 2020 bundle?

Per the manufacturer there is a software update that allows the unit to be installed without the airspeed switch.

Can I use the WAAS GPS position signal (GPS only) to feed an iPad? Is the Transponder compatible with the Advanced Aircraft Electronics inside mounting antenna?

No, the WAAS/GPS antenna that comes with this kit is for the ADS-B out solution only.

Which transponder antennas are approved for install with this bundle for ADS-B out? For example, will the comment CI 101 or the RAMI AV-22 antennas work for ADS-B out with this bundle?

Either of the mentioned antennas can be used for this install.

Per the install manual, the total weight is 440g.

What altitude is this Trig 2020 bundle unit certified to? Non pressurized aircraft.

The TT22 (which is included in this bundle) is a 250 watt Class 1 transponder, ideally suited to higher performance and/or high altitude performance types. In the U.S. the FAA has stated that Class 1 transponders must be used to be 2020 complaint For U.S. customers, Trig recommends the TT22 unit for this reason.
