Does the Headset Audio Recording Cable for Gopro Hero3 plug into the mic or ear cable of the headset?

The part of Headset Audio Recording Cable for Gopro Hero3 that plugs into the headeset would be the PJ-055B (Mic) Jack.

If I purchase this cable will I still need an audio recording device to record the audio if I want to make a video for playback on youtube?

Yes, this is just the cable. Many people use their smart phones as the recording device but you can use any recording device with a 3.5 mm input jack.

Can this cable be used at all with the GoPro's housing? It would appear they cannot both be used at the same time, so the user would need to come up with ways to secure the camera to a mounting point. Right?

It cannot be used while the sealed waterproof housing is on the camera. We offer the Frame housing (our part # 11-12922) which has an opening where this cable connects to the camera. The frame housing then secures to the normal GoPro mounts.

Is this compatible with Bose A20, as they use a 6 pin Redel plug?

This will be compatible with a Bose A20 that has dual GA plugs. If the headset has another type of connection, this cable will not work.

I use AVCOMM AC-200 PNR HEADSET. (plane cessna 150, ICOM IC-A210). I need to record both ATC and intercom communication and use a headset simultaneously. Is this cable suitable for me?

No, this cable will not charge the GoPro.
