What size is it? What space needed on panel and behind panel?

The installation diameter for this is 52mm which is approx. 2.04 inches. Behind the panel is 1-5/16 inches, not including terminals. Terminals are 1/2" deep.

Is the transmitter included with this item?

No, the transmitter will have to be a separate purchase. Please view the accessories tab for the part # 10-06467.
